Looks dope but how many tracks does the sequencer have? They need to give at least 8 or 16, it';s kinda rough with 4 like on all their other SP-XOX's

It seems they have switched up to a pattern based sequencer. 12 patterns x 8 banks. Seems like 1 pattern per pad.

Current RRP of the SP 303 is about £220 so its def worth considering.....

i like the way the 303 looks better. that sh*t looks like an mp3 player or summin.
it doesnt have that gritty look to it like the 303 does. it sounds great though (spec-wise). i always wanted a sampler with battery power so i could take it to my favorite chill spot and make beats. i like to go to the basketball court around my neighborhood at night for inspiration...it'd be tight to be able to make beats over there.

I'm happy to finally see a portable sampler, but its lacking a decent sequencer

Although I cant say I'm surprised I dont know a roland product with a really good sequencer....

The 404 has a single-track sequencer, like on the SP1200 (and SP303). The 404 can store up to 24 patterns, 1-99 measures long.

the 303 and 505 has 4 sequencer tracks. Odd that they would reduce that.
