Correct Techniques VI..Production Workshop

The Correct Techniques VI Beat Makers Workshop is in full effect once again!!!! Are you a producer? Or trying to be a producer? The song should be up tomorrow. Once it is posted we'll have a week to come up with something. The rules are simple:

1. You must sample from the song. You can use other samples/sounds but you must sample something from the song.

2. Everybody involved please post feedback on everyone elses beat. This is what the Correct Techniques Beat Makers Workshop is about. Please be honest but not insulting...be constructive.

Man this is neat! I'm gonna get a MPC 1000 but I won't have it in time for this workshop. I hope you guys continue to do this so I may sign up in the future! I'm ready to hear everyone's skills already!

When ever you get it just come on over. I'm sure we'll have one going. If we don't then feel free to start one up. BTW..you don't have to have an MPC to get involved.....whatever tool you use is up to you. Feel free to spectate and give your feedback in the meanwhile.

AAiigghtt!! The song to sample is posted in the General Discussion thread under Correct Techniques VI which is right at the top. Feel free to come and introduce yourself and download the song. Right now we have 12 people registered for the workshop. This one should be a banga!!!!!!

Ok! Cool! I thought you specifically had to have an MPC. I do have a couple of computer software programs! I might try this out then! Thanks!

You've got me on blast with your signature homie, it truly has me humbled. I'm no pro at all... I just love the hell out of dope beats. In these exercises, i've been overly impressed many of times by cats from everywhere, who are showing their skills when using the same sample. Some of the cats only have computer set-ups, some have MPC's & sound modules, and some are only using a keyboard sampler. The cool thing about this is, we all walk away educated and wanting to better our crafts. Any nerd can learn the insides & outs of music equipment... and any focused person can save up the money to buy it all. At the end of the day, it takes something more to create a good track (rhythm, personality, dreams). It takes even more, to put these tracks on records for the masses to accept - wouldn't we all love that. Like Mind One and bambudeasiatic said, come on down and join the festivities... we've all become winners over there, hope to see ya sometime.
