I've Searched & couldnt find plz help me.....

wuts up mpc-tutor peeps i know this question has been asked before but i cant find it in the search. i have a mpc 2kxl and a motif es6. i also have a powerbook g4 and a midisport 2x2 and a 12 channel mixer. i would like to know how do i sync up my motif and mpc to pro tools le 6.4 so i can dump my tracks from mpc to pro tools.

what type of audio interface do you have? Mbox or Digi002? I would say to first configure your digi or mbox to record to your computer using a walkman or something of the sort.

Once you know that you can succesfully record and playback from protools, you can start connecting your midi devices.

Do a search on midi connections and you will see the different ways you can use midi. Till you find one that suits your needs.

Mbox does not have midi connections...but the digi002 does.

Just midi daisy chain your devices..

motif out ------> Mpc in ----->Mpc out ---->Motif In
MPC(2) out -----> Midi sport in -----> Midi sport out ---> MPC(2) in

I take it that the midisport is USB right?

Then connect all of your audio connections to your mixer and your audio device.

u also have to turn your MPC 2000XL "MIDI Clock In" setting on and to the correct channel so it can sync up with Pro Tools, also dont forget MAKE ALL MIDI CONNECTIONS TO THE COMPUTER BEFORE YOU CUT THE COMPUTER ON

i want to be able to hit record in pro tools and have PT start the mpc i dont know wut to do. i tried just about everything. i sez cueing machine. i dont know. if any more advice plz help. ill be here for the next few dayz til i get this bit@h to work..... thank u so much peeps
