Yeah Tigers right, its about the human feel to an MPC beat. But its true with so much new technology available today you can kind of get too caught up in the debates ! This is about making good music with whatever tool you feel can aid you in making that happen.

Most people who talk like that are WHACK! I Know a few cats that talk this and that about what they got and what you need, tell them to shut the **** up and play a track. I know cats with $15,000 worth equipment and have the whackest shit I've ever heard and I know cats that can flip an ill track on a MPC 1000.
I've learned the most difficult people to deal with are usually the untalented.

They only say that because computers are cheap, then they turn around and go online and download some programs. After that they then label themselves a producer.Stick the mpc and do your thing.

In my opinion computers are cool because u can mix down your beats right their on the spot and u have unlimited sampleing time. But other than that I like using the MPC2kxl. I just bought the new joint it has plenty of memory with the new compact flash feature u can hold 2gigs worth of memory on one small ass disk. If your computer crashes than their goes all your hard work u know? That would break my heart. Plus I think MPC are more compatible if u do a lot of work in studios because most studios have an MP already in their and its nuthin to just bring a beat with u on disk. My homie uses fruity loops, He's nice as hell on it but when its time to dump in studios they have to download fruity loops and go through all this bullshit just to get his beats in they system properly. of course u can just bring a cd. But when its time to give that beat to an industry ***** they gonna wanna dump each sound and tweak that shit individualy and make it boom. I like the Mp over the computer. But even better if u use them together. Im out

Use what ever works for you and what you can afford.See me when I started researching about production I didn't have a PC so I learned threw magazines like Electronic Musician,Digital Music Maker,Future music, ect So I was informed that I need a computer, some programs, sound card, monitors, midikeyboards, etc So I worked my ass of (at Subway, lol) and got me a pimp custom pc now I own Monitors and a mixer and am saving up for a "highend" soundcard. Then I will be getting Reason 3,Cubase,and all that jazz.BUT in the half a year or so Iv'e had the net and learn more I WANT A MPC,soundmodules, synths etc (Hardware) But as you can imagine Im getting impatient so Im going the software route to get me started I'll be getting a Trigger Finger 2 tide me over, lol. But yeah I enjoy working with software but I want I don't like making beats with my eyes I rather use my ears so I will upgrade when the time is right. My point is people hate on software too so It's like "so what if I make a hot beat on Reason and because it was made with software it sucks? So If I dumped that beat into a MPC it's a banger?" and vice versa I don't get some people a hot beat is a hot beat It doesn't matter what you use.And yes the "reason" they are hating on your MP is cause they can't afford one.And what makes it even worse is they prolly don't even pay 4 there software, lol.

Renegade u right. half these software ass producers are using free programs like fruity loops and calling themselves producers. They definatley hate on MPC's cause they cant afford them. Most of them dudes never evern used one and they judging them.

i use my mpc religously, but you'll never hear me slag a pc, i think it is an indispensible tool for an mpc owner.

At the end of the day whatever works, sometimes people who make beats with FL are better than people with MPCs, sometimes other way around, no one gives a **** if you got good beats

Thats like going to work.. some people take the train, others drive their cars...both got to the same destination right?

I've never heard a bangin beat made on Fruity Loops, is there any major release ever been made on FL? ALL the tracks I've heard on FL are pop, weak sounding drum tracks. But I would love to hear a track to prove me wrong.

I stand correct, even though that track is towards the bottom of my list for the Black Album, it's on point.

You might be right, these are more like frenemies than friends. These people are far to competetive and dont give you the respect you deserve, if you can do something better than them they hate on you. or if you have an mpc, and they dont, they hate on you.

SOD em!
