I have owned it for about 4 years.. but only got 1 year of use out of it before it died on me... I took it to a local (des moines, Iowa) keyboard repair shop and they didn't know what it was, but looked at it anyway and checked the circuits but couldnt find out what was wrong.

Basically, it powers up, and will load a disk allready inserted in the drive, but none of the buttons or pads work. If anyone has any idea what this problem is, and a way to fix it if it is something simple, or know of any good repair shops in the midwest that can take care of this machine, I would appreciate the help.

I miss it very much.. the 2000xl just doesn't compare, and I have a little extra money now to get it fixed.

That sounds like a similar problem I had. You may be experiencing a Fuse burn out. I know the Mpc 60 has about 3 fuses. Maybe the one that's supporting your pads, blew out. I know a store in New York called Armen's music Repair, they're pretty good. Anything else [email protected].

Have them check the power supply voltasges, if you check the 60 FAQ above you can find the service manual which will help the keyboard techs test the voltages. reseat the connectors and chips that might help too.
