Repeating Samples...unwanted!!

Sup dawgs,

I have a problem...

I made a beat with my mpc 1k, and I used a certain sample in it of a violin.
When I hit the play button in my sequencer (logic) all plays the right way, and when I hit the stop button....it stops.

But after a few minutes...the violin sample plays over and over again...like 20-30 times! Ya understand, that my brand new beat is already giving me headaches cos of that sample I keep hearing over and over again.

When I turn the volume of the MPC down, it's gone. I know it is SOMETHING with the mpc itself..but I can't figure out what it is.

Can anybody help me out? Mucho gracias!

Try turning the "note on" function on for the sample. That should get rid of any chance that it will repeat.

it might be a dumb suggestion , but have you trimmed your violin sample ?
have you cut the sample past the violin bit?

Nah, that ain't a dumb question, but ofcourse...that ain't it



About the other remark: I will try that first thing 2morrow when I hit the studio !
