I am wondering about the 'new' external 100 mb zip drives, which are marked as USB interfaced, and their compatability with the 2000xl. I was under the impression that the zip drive had to be SCSI compatible to work with the XL. I have a 100mb internal drive on my computer but no floppy drive, and i have the internal floppy on the 2000xl, so obviously this situation is a bit troubling and frustrating, I wish to purchase a 100 mb zip drive but am not aware if the new ones would be compatible with the XL, because they are described as being USB interfaced. I haven't seen an external zip drive since about 2000, so if someone is familiar with this situation and can explain in more detail, I would ultimately like to take samples from my computer, put them on a 100 mb zip disk from the internal drive in my computer, then swing them to the external drive and consequently into the 2000xl for very pleasing and melodic production, but am not sure if this is possible with these external zip drives. SO again, if anyone knows of this predicament and can further explain and simplify the solution to the conundrum, I would greatly appreciate it.
