Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Whats up fam I need help quick fast.... I have my es and xr slaved to my mpc. I'm using my es as a controller for the xr so its like this

Mpc 0ut A to Es in----> Es out to Mpc in 2

Mpc Out B to Xr in...I'm using the In 1 to have the mpc slaved to protools

I have the mpc Set to As Track....my problem is say i lay down a guitar on Midi track 1A then switch to 2A the piano we'll start to play right along with my first patch even though i switched to track two on the es. This happens when i use the es sequencer along with the mpc's if i don't use the motifs sequencer and just use the mpc's everything is fine i would do it this way but if i'm not recording with the es sequencer then there is no way to save the patches i've just layed down when i'm done. I've tried omniA/B but the patches rom the xr play along to, where am i going wrong. I've read the manual and will continue to. I know there are some peeps on here who are using a Keyboard , sound module set up if you could run this down to me it would really help. Alright back to trying to figure this out. And I do have the local off on the es.

sorry i might reading this wrong, but can you somehow start again cause i have no clue what you are trying to say..

do u want to have two modules run on your MPC? with a keyboard as well?

If so then do this..

Keyboard OUT --> MPC IN 1
MPC OUT A --> XR IN
XR OUT(THRU) --> ES IN
MPC B OUT --> PROTOOLS

That will prevent any problems where things play where they should not, just remember to assign the channles appropiately
EG 1a 2a 3a 4a 5a for ES
6a 7a 8a 9a 10a for XR get it!!

Once again...I have the mpc as my master sequencer, the motif and the xr are both slaved to it...i have the es set up to where i can use it's sounds and use it as a keyboard controllere for the xr. Now i have my drum pattern layed out and i want to lay down say a piano on midi 1a, okay then i switch to midi 2a where there's a sax, suddenly the sax is playing the same melody as the paino, shadowing the paino. This happens when i use the motif's sequencer at the same time with the mpc's. How do i stop this?

This is my other question...If i dont use the sequencer on the motif and only the mpc's how would i recall the patches i have set up on the diffrent midi channels later?

Hope this makes my ? more clear

research up them manuals, on using multi-mode. you'll need to give each external part an individual midi chan number which you can then sequence from the mpc's midi tracks. im not familiar with your hardware, sorry.
