808 kick

Downloaded the 808 and 909 set from Akai and I must say, the 808 kick must be the best noise in the whole of electronic music! I just can't get ENOUGH of it! Who's with me?... anyone?

haha j/k. thats why its so popular, but i would'nt say its the best...i find new drums everday that i like more than the previous ones.

Very tru, any time i cant get that UMPH, i just tweak in a 808 filter, tune and layer it and volia the BOOM BAP is in full effect.

Recently I've been layering those orchestra kicks under my regular drums. I still can always count on the 808. :D

layering the 808 makes any kick sound good... I rememer D-NICE mr tr-808. Listen to his music he killed the 808..........

Where did you get this? I went to AKAI.com but wasnt able to find it

most definitely, id say at least 50% of the tracks i make has an 808 kick, drum, snare, or hihat in there.
