2000XL Sampling Problem

Does anyone know what I need to do in order to get my samples to stop playing once I hit the stop button? I don't record my samples into the MPC. I do everything on the computer, but once I do load them into the XL,
I alway change the playback from Poly to either Mono or Note Off depending on what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for your help!

cut yout sample in short pieces,or cut the volume on your mixer?
I got a question, as you do everything on a computer ,why do you bother putting it on the mpc???

I don't like making tracks on the computer. I use it to prep whatever sample I'm going to use and then load it into the MPC. After I make the beat, I'll track it into Pro Tools and mix it down there. I really like the sequencer on the MPC. Thanks for your help.

don't you have the feeling that you loose something when you bounce your beat on pro tools or whatever software then mix it.
Each time i have done that,(bounce all the track thenn mix it on the computer)
i din't like the result.
I make a beat, then i'll bounce the whole shit in one track then eq it a bit, that's the way i got better result.
Any tips,something i missed???

I sequence on my mpc then i track everything to sonar then mix it down. I am able to give each sound its own channel using my motu828mk11. I find this to provide a better result. I am able to get that "sound" out of my music.

The Note Off setting will turn off the sound when the Stop button is pressed.

Another way to do it it to open the trim screen, this stops the sounds also.

You can also set another pad to turn the sound off.... do this by highlighting the Poly/Mono/Note off area and open window.
