Philly I'm proud of you for reacting with some intelligence instead of coming back with a stupid reply. 8)

Oh well I guess I wasted the bait.

Just get someone locally to download it and unzip it to create the Boot floppy.
That's still gonna be your best solution

How you man?
I see you are working hard.
I have not been paying attention to what you've been doing with the OS.
I have been excited about it since you mentioned this over a year ago.

Word Homer ! :-)
Great to see you out here again.
Wanted to contact you after I read your article in TAPEOP magazine ( that was you right ? ) ... been kind of snowed under though.

homershines wrote:Anyway, do you mind if I download the floppy situation for this brutha and have him come to my gig and pick it up? I'm in Philly too and at work, I am developing a community based record company and publishing house for teens here. Maybe he can come thru and offer his recording/programming/production teaching services in the future.

This sounds like a good deal. Maybe you can de-STRESS PHILLY :-)

I've always liked what I hear about your community contributions Homer.
Keep 'em up and much respect to you for bringing folks together then making stuff happen.

homershines wrote:Let me know and where can I read up on the OS 3.16 ROM?
Many thanks.

Hit me a PM Homer...

Peace and thanks for looking out for PHILLY in the most affordable way possible.

Now lets hope PHILLY's MPC3000 will perform the FTL jump to 3.16 without too many issues.

Rohan.

Thanks Rohan.

I'll PM you in a minute.
Yup. That's me in TapeOp.
I'm really a trained visual artist.
Been doing sound since the 80s.

I can hook up Stress, if he wants it.

Holler at me. Stress.

Thanks for the positive comments.
Speaking of folks...I was just talking with some folks today about an exchange between some Philly artists(media/music/visual/writers/dancers) and some from the UK. Got to get a plan moving.

We'll see.

Australia looks good from here too.

Hmmmm?

Peace.

Philly it won;t boot from zip, it will only load from floppy.

Yo Homer, what article did you write in Tape Op, I love that mag, PM if you wanna be on the humble tip.

By homershines Tue Jul 19, 2005 4:40 pm
EL;
I ain't gonna be any more humble than usual. It's just an article on Grant Monies for artists. There are still lots of dollars available from most state arts councils for audio/recording/radio and music artists. So, I dropped a lil info on how to try to get it. I paid for the first two incarnations of my studio with grant monies.

I think some of the info is also on the website.

If I get off my butt, I wanna record some interviews with some of Philly's serious production people like Ahmir/Questlove, Anthony Tidd, and a few others.

We'll see. So much to do, so lil time and absolutely no money... (until the next grant comes thru.)

Peace.

Which issue was that in? I should look into that,

By homershines Tue Jul 19, 2005 10:49 pm
Can't remember. Probably last year some time.
Look on the site in the extras.

I have a list of grant sources there.

Peace.
