when i turn the mpc on, it says wait

jsut got the mpc, when i turn it on, it says "wait...", and its been like that for a minute. im new to the game, so is this normal? if not, whats wrong and what do i gotta do to fix it? thanks

What does it do after it says "wait"?

Does it actually boot up or not?

What model do you have?

i have an xl, no i dont have the boot disk. it also has the mcd installed in it. it goes immediately to the the main screen and says wait. do i gotta put the os on a flash and try that?

ok, i downloaded the os and threw it on the disk. i put it in the mpc and turned it on and it still says wait. i dont gotta hold anything down do i?

As long as you can still access the main screen it shouldn't be a problem.All mpcs take a sec to boot.

is it possible somthing got loose during shipping?

the boot process takes several seconds. as long as the main screen does come up and it's not taking like 5-10 minutes you should be okay.
