WaT a BeAuTy.....

Just got my MPC 1000 today in the mail bout an hour ago!!!!! and (not too sound corny) its beautiful!!! I know im a little too excited lol but i just turned it on and i can already tell we're gonna become best friends. So i wanted to introduce myself cuz i know im gonna be hanging out in this forum alot!!!! so wats up everybody!!!!!

First day and already have a question lol, but one of the reasons i got the 1000 was cuz of its size so that i can carry it with me everywhere. I had a question about the airport cuz im going to puerto rico this weekend and wanted to know if its safe to carry my mpc with me as far as xrays go. Is it safe to take it with me and pass it through the xrays? It might be a stupid question but i just want to be sure, cuz as of now, this is my baby right here

Yes, I took my 2kxl in a carry bag with me to Iraq. Went right through Xray jsut fine, they guy was like "Sir, well need to chek inside that bag, it's looks to be some electronic gadgety there that we need to check out."

When they guy saw it, he was like "huh, my sons wants this thing also, what's it an M-P-C?". In my mind I'm thinking, "here we go".

But it's fine, just carry it on with you. Ive taken my ASR10 to and from Japan also in a 2 inch foam-lined gigbag, it was fine, no problems.

I'm an ex owner now but you know i think you're right, that was one of my first thoughts after a got it out the box, it's gorgeous, it weighed just right, it felt firm, strong, solid, i thought the colours were stupid when i'd seen pictures but in the flesh, so to speak, it just looked damn funky, shit it even smells good, go on give it a good sniff

as far as the plane and xrays, you're good. i've taken mine as a carry on to atlanta and back. not a problem

not only can you take it on the plane but if you pick up an inverter you can use it too.

Thankz fellas, already got it packed and ready with a cf card full of samples ive spent the last two days diggin throuh my records for to take with me. Is dat the best way to save and carry, cf cards?
