Finally getting off my but and giving making music a decent try, and am in the midst of purchasing a few bits and pieces of musical equipment. Though I have a problem in regards to sequencing and recording.
Would I be better off getting a sequencer i.e. mpc and buying an 8 track or similar, sequencing on the mpc then recording onto the 8track then transfer the audio from the 8track onto the pc via some form of pc recording device.
Or recording the instruments directly onto the pc then sequencing on the pc.
Reason I ask is that i've been doing a bit of reading on the topic and from what I have read its better to record onto an 8track etc as it tends to give the "music" a better sound.
Any truth to that?
WHich route would be recommended, just use the pc or sequence/record using hardware then transfer to the pc.
