If you had ONE wish for the next?? update...

Just to get sort of a statistic about what s the MOST important for you 1k users!

I really dont play into these ?'s that often since a few are abit silly BUT recently I've had my MPC 1000 in a really nice spot on my desk BUT its a real pain in the azz haveing to reach back behind the mpc, which already fits snugly ...so i gots to move my mpc, JUST to remove the USB Connection.

How ABOUT some feature that "disengages" the USB Connection.

That would be very cool, but i personally don't care. i can live without it, or any of the features that are "supposely" comin. sometimes I'm guess when i'm feelin lazy sometimes zoning would be cool. I'm answering because you asked. i like my 1k the way it is if anything else comes about meaning an update this would just be a bonus.

i would wanna see sutin that isnt in the 2kxl, not timestretch or any of that, just a really useful unique feature

yeah do it from your PC in the taskbar.

Multiple track selection in mixer would be very helpful.

How bout, SAMPLE START as a parameter, controllable by QLink. I love sample start, for jamming and stuttering n stuff, this feature gets me jealous of my girlfriend's esx.

Okay I'm dreaming here cause they won't do it, but it doesn't sound technically impossible with an OS update.

A longer attack time for the compressors so I can use them for drums.

My wish(es)... oops.. for the next update:

- I wish they will bring back the fader editing in trim. Why the nonsensical digit hassle? Don't make me touch that ridiculously plastic dial, please. There's two faders - get me one for start point, one for end point. The faders are just way underused now, and should be way more integrated into both general navigating and sequencing..

- I wish for off the heezy swing and quantizing modes.. just ways to encourage users to sound less generic. Right about now everyone and their grandma does the identically timed boom bap style like weak sauce Non Phixion-records.

- I wish that Numark/Akai along with the update announces a forum, much like this one, that will be used for ways to actively communicate with their MPC fan base.

- I wish for a completely revised driver for the internal efx. This is just beating a dead horse but seriously. A delay. And never mind some crappy sounding timestretch. Just prove us that there can be a reverse function.

- I wish the would just release teh freakin update with a road map for akai's comin six months. So at least my ass can move on from googling vague mpc 500 speculations all day.

the solution for hte usb cord is, GET A CF CARD READER/WRITER FOR YOUR COMPUTER!
