holy sh*t, i don't mean to blow this thread up or anything but i also noticed that on musiciansbuy.com they have the 1k pic with a 2000xl header and no 2000xl pics? replacement anyone?

MusiciansBuy.com also has the MPC2000xl pictured where it says MPC 4000.

The 4000 didn't go down in price, that's for a blemished model on zzounds.

The 1000 was about $850 last year this time. Maybe they'll jack the price up if an update comes out. That would suck if they charged us for a major update like that. I can see that happening. But shit... I won't mind dishing some more cash over to AKAI for some awesome features. And that is if it ever happends.

no at zzsounds its $819 now

The price 819 is for a blemished 1000, the rest are all still 999. So a cheap MPC1000 is available for anyone who needs it!
