sounds like you need more.

i would say you need sounds. drums etc.

cop some sample cds of the bay to go along with your setup.

you may need a pre amp for that TT dependin on what kind it is.

well you can find deals on any kind of mpc you want. you should research the different models and choose whats best for you. then look for some deals on that joint. check out www.ebay.com

yea you can throw some samples into the mpc and bang a beat out. but you'll need something to record into. i use a computer. you can make beats with straight hardware, but if you like using software a lot maybe the mpc1000 would be cool? anyway, read about 'em and see what you might want. oh, and the mpc dosnt have speakers so you need speakers/monitors... 8)

go for software
a mpc wont work on its own

with software u get a whole lot more for FREE, let alone if u got cash.

if you need a cheap alternetive to a set of truntable's and a mixer, look for some info on the "numark PT 01" or the "vestax handy trax". they are portable turntables with a build in preamp (so you can hook it up to your mpc without a dj mixer) and they go for $100-150. they are good for digging and sampling, but not for dj use. it all depends on what you need...

good luck, and i hope you can find what you need

Yo Ethix where in SA you at ?

There is no Akai deallers in SA but we gona be stocking them soon in South Africa so maybe i can hook you up a tight deal ,, from what it sounds like you you were looking at the MPC2000XL but for South African rands maybe i would suggest the MPC1000 its still a rock solid MPC ,, check out some reviews on it but i would highly recomend this model for you as its affordable for us dudes in SA

Anyway either way good luck with you choices
