Q for mpc1000 owners from newbie

howdy
Been an avid vinyl collector for ooooh almost 20 years & really would like to try making my own music- hiphop, nu-jazz etc. It would be totally sample based. Can I make complete tracks on an MPC or is it just for drum sequencing? Have a G4 mac aswell but would prefer to do it with hardware...Any advice appreciated, this is a whole new world for me! :shock:

You can do everthing with the MPC, but a pc/mac could be _very_ useful...

J, welcome to the boards, you'll be fine with whatever MPC you choose as long as you check out the different mpc's limitations and features. If you keep that in mind and choose according to what your production needs are you'll be str8.
