Static and Noise after Midi Sample Dump From MPC2000(NonXL)

Hi yall, Im getting some some static when I hit the my MPC 60ii pads, after midi sample dump. Anyone know whats going on with that?

I have some drum toms I have on disk that were transfered from iMac via MPC Program Maker. I put them on the MPC2000 and trimmed them down then transfered them via sample dump to the MPC 60II. I belive they were in stereo but I am going to say I think the MPC60II converted them because all the other sounds came out fine only 2 of the tom sounds have static the lowest octave one and the 2nd lowest octave tom sound.

Anyone have any ideas why I am getting the noise? I have searched and found a few things but none of them seem to be when performing a sample dump.

did you hit any pads or buttons durring the sample dump? does it only happen in sample dump?

I think it may be some of the extra snd info from the 2000 that the 60 can't handle and just plays back as noise.

Actually I think I did hit the pad durring the dump. However I tried it agin this time I trimmed it on the iMac using PEAK and then I changed the Freq from 44khz to 40khz. I thought this had something to do with it since the MPC60II only goes up to 40khz. Once I did that, took it back to the MPC2K and immediately I noticed the sample had static in it. I thought from changing the freq I added the noise. So I dumped it into the MPC60II and still got noise however this time not as much before. It is a really low TOM sound could that be the reason? Any suggestions on what i could do to rid myself of this noise. Maybe I should just sample the darn thing.

you're probably one of the few cats attemping this, so your findings will be what we know. but in the meantime, yeah, just sample it

Since you said that when you resampled it to 40 and it had less static maybe you try another lower freq like 36 and if you notice less static once again maybe a bit lower if its still usable until it has no static, if that even works.

Don't waste your time on the sample dump. It sucks, believe me. I've tried and got the same results you did. Sample Dump = Static
