Software equilvalent to ASR 10

Heat issues were about the keyboard not rack mount. ASR10 is a good machine, it's just old. Doesn't matter if someone else has it or not, everyone will use it differently. Wave editor for the ASR10 on computer, the ASR10 files are NOT computer program friendly, ie. eda, ede, efa ghk, efe. There is a DOS program (EPSDISK) that will read/write to ASR10 floppies but it's so time consuming that you'd hate it and move on to something else.

Good lookin Lampdog. i guess what i meant by software equilvalent to the ASR. I meant functionality, not sound quality.

I use to have kontackt 1.5 demo, but I got sick of reinstalling it, but like I said what you can do with kontackt is amazing if you use it correctly. I have an ASR-10 too and I like the sound of it, but with kontackt you can get close, but not close to the MPC 4k which is my fav piece of equipment.

Nah, the heat issue is worse on the rack.
On the rack there is no where for the heat to go and the boards are stacked to make matters worse.
Ensoniq should have realigned the boards in the rack and put a fan on the case like the DA-88's have.
I was able to add a fan to the keys but the racks doen't lend themselves to that so I tend to use the racks for overflow or as backup.

Damn Metafor with all that gear you gotta have the most craziest beats in the world I know professional dudes who aint got that much gear damn that's a lot I know your joints are hot rite?

Compared to half the dudes here on the forums its really not that much. I have good sh!t.

Any hard sampler function close to the ASR? Not as far as sound, but with good effects and all that? I been looking but cant find nothing else and I aint tryin to mess with software. I need to get wav's from my laptop on it too
