errror at ??????

don't remember the exact digits, but lately the mpc is frezzes and gives an error message, wondering how to avoid this,,,,is there a list of errors messages for the mpc2000xl?

i have that one to sometimes, reload the OS from a floppy or zip, and maybe this helps. anyway, thats what i'm gonna do tonight...

This never fixes anything. In fact, attempting to re-load an OS runs a greater risk of damaging your MPC further. There is no such thing as having a "bad" OS in the MPC. It is not a "winblows" OS.

No disrespect intended 3000 but sometimes it does.My O.S was crappin' out or something but once i loaded it to another floppy it fixed it right up.Now i don't have the load message error.Maybe it was just the disk goin' bad.But anyways,not saying that will help Doc but it's worth a shot.

Unlike windows, the MPC does a check on the integrity off the OS itself before it commits it to flash. It is nearly impossible way to flash a "bad" OS into the MPC. I cannot explain the solution to your particular issue, but it is possible that you flashed a different version that fixed the issue you were experiencing.

I still stand by original statement. Re-flashing the OS is not going to fix anything, but in fact you run a greater risk of damaging the MPC further. Disrepect will be accepted and noted.
