just got back from my buddy with 50+ samples sampled from his sl-1200.
i've been working with them a minute and notice there's a good hiss in
every one of them, that shows ecspecially when i resample them (and i
do want to do it). so, anyone have any good hiss reduction soft suggestions
or other tips? i read a good one by someone from this board, to take the vinyl
hiss before the sample a make a profile of it in cool edit pro, that way the
comp recognizes what it has to take off. also, some knowledge on the
sampling could be useful, i put the rec gain in half position and sampled
the sounds as hot as i could so i wouldnt had to normalize them too much.
