Ive got an MPC2000 Classic and im about to get a laptop with Logic, Cubase, Sonar, and basically whatever else i want on it.

What i wanted to know was, if its possible using the midi out on the MP to record the individual tracks of say the kick, hats, and sample into a sequencer on the laptop, which will keep them seperated, so i can add effects etc. when im done?

peace.

Yes, but the sound does not travel along the midi connections if thats what your thinking. you would need the samples on the laptop and use the MPC to triger the sounds. this would be a complete waste of time and not worth having a MPC..

What you what better do is have a sound card that allow you to record all ya seperate tracks into Cubase etc synced via midi. thats the way to go about it.

shit...blud u from North London!! yes yes!!

Better to choose one package and really learn it well then installing different packages. Don't be like me and get lost in the software world.
