Well I was hit with the creative bug today and got down to doing some remixes and stuff.I am amazed at what can be done with the MPC 1000 when a person sits down and really gets into it.I Took some samples off some records and made some crazy beats. Then I took and added acapellas off of records over the top of my beats. It's cool because the 1000 lets you record into it while a sequence is playing so basically I just did just like I would if I were DJ'ing I started the beat cued up the acapella droped it and adjusted the tempo to suit.Once it was all done I then had to go back and trigger the acapella in time with the beat.Once that was all tight I mixed everything to the best of my ability using the 1000's effects and mixer. Then I resampled the final product back into the 1000 and then I dragged the wav file to my computer and burned an audio CD.It only took about 5 minutes for a five minute song to tranfer over USB which isnt bad.The final product sounds good I must say considering I only used my MPC 1000 and my Tech's and a DJ mixer. Now maybe I will start posting some stuff online.
