on the real, the 440 got nothing on the 1200. its not a well built machine, its complicated to use, the pads dont register hits, the sequencer is buggy, and the scsi barely works. the sound is good but cant come close to the 1200.

ok....the scsi works for me non stop...the 1200 doesnt have scsi...the 1200 is made of fiber glass and CHIPS APART, the 440 is solid steel, it has the same filters and sampling specs as the 1200...so the sound CAN "come close".

at least it has pads not buttons like the 1200, and at least the buttons on it dont break every year like the 1200...the 1200 is the shittiest machine ever built, its a toy.

Yo the 440 does have cutoff control on the filter, that's a point above the SP for sure, variable sampling rate? another one. It's a good machine for sure, the sampler side kills both the 60 and the sp, but the sequencer side the 60 slays it.

Yo Powercord, I'm in NY too, you think I could swing by and test drive that 440? It's been years since I got to mess with one.

I'm chill, I won;t blow up your spot or nothing. And I know my way around a 2600 and other analog, modulars are my faves tho.

its dope but on the noisey side of life....really good for over dubbing vox...laying...adding texture things like that givin that 50 cents larger len life sound

BTW anything over 800 is a rediculous price to me. I havnt seen many sell but those Ive seen went for less than 500 here on germany ebay with molded pads
