so ure telling me...i could only send out 4 stereo tracks???

i have my mpc2000xl....


it's fully loaded and has the 8 outs card.

i'm running my sequences off of it...but want to send all 8 outs into the 8 ins of my digi002 so i can control the levels myself on stage.

now...since the mpc has only 8 outs...i'd only be able to have 4 stereo tracks coming out of it right (i know i can put multiple tracks on the same 2 channels....but i mean individually)?

my best bet would be to make tracks that don't pan into MONO so i can have control of more stuff...right?

please let me know if i'm on the right page

You can have 5 stereo outs including the main L&R outs. But in the end, most sounds do not need to be in stereo, only samples with panning info such as drum loops etc. Other samples can be in mono and have stereo effects applied to then at a later date.

first off nice setup! I can sit there for hours but no how, mpc-tutor is right you usually dont have many tracks stereo, in general, I actually ran a post with some respones on how people like to record instruments, stereo or mono,

I do things my way but was interested with ideas of how and why people go mono or stereo, some good replies and links.
You may not be able to cut it will 8 outs, actually 10 with 8 out expander. but most of the time I fit within 10 tracks, without vocals of course.
