please explain timstretch presets

2000xl: can somone please explain the "timestratch presets" and maybe give examples of which kinds of sound match the different presets.

You'll never get an answer, I know because I asked the same question.

Nothing to explain really - they speak for themselves - use the ones that say 'low...' for low stuff, 'high..' for high stuff etc. It's all a bit hit and miss anyway - just experiment until something works. I always use the percussion ones for drums.

So in otherwords you can't say for sure what the female vox, or the music 2 presets or etc; mean or how they effect your sample? Hit or miss is the best you can come up with? What does a lo preset do to a drum sample or a hi preset for that matter?

one more thing

is frequency the same as pitch? should i try to match high pitch sounds with high frequency?

It's not really about the musical pitch of a sound. A hi hat sound is comprised mostly of high frequency elements, while a bass sound is mostly low frequency. Yuo could have a high pitched bass sound which is still comprised mostly of low frequency elements.
