cpu adress error - ect - problem with free ram

so i got the free akai ram in the mail today -- and i poped it in -- easy - but now the screen is **** up and scrolling down to something that says cpu adress error (pc a5008...... then all these random numbers at the bottom -- i havnt taken the thing back out - but restarting it and adjusting it hasnt helped

what should i do? -- the nearest place that sells mpcs is atleast an hour away -- do the thngs usualy go in easy? -- is mine **** up?

it was actualy packed in the box strangly -

is my warrenty done for cause i put it in myself?

i took it out -- fiddled with it -- tried to get it to what looked like a propper position -- but no luck --

when the mpc starts up it says something on the screen about 16mb installed -- but only for a second -
