Anyone know the horn sample he used for the chorus on this track? I think anyone who's heard it would agree those horns are fuc^in' amazing.

Peace

Dunno, i saw him live and he uses fake covers for his vinyl. He was rockin that track live and when it looked like he grabbed the record for that sample it came from a Cannibal Ox sleeve. My boy interviewed him prior to the show and he wouldn't say any thing on record about samples.... he was hella nervous about anyone knowing what he used. On "Since the last time we spoke" i guess he got into some trouble with one of his samples. My friend that interviewed him said he was TIGHT-LIPPED.

Sorry, i'm not much help

the only sample ive been able to place in that track is the abstract electronic warbles on one of the breakdown, from TIMESTEPS a wicked track off the clockwork orange soundtrack.

I've got two copies of that ost (different pic covers) and I didn't notice the sample in RJD2's track.

(What's up Bobby, haven't seen you on these forums before. I'm in Adelaide)

I 've come across a bunch of RJD2's loops and samples on rereleases. He doesn't really dig that deep for most of his stuff. Almost all of his vocal hooks are on "lost soul" comps. I think he is an amazing DJ to watch live. I saw him do his whole set with only 4 turntables. No samplers or mpcs to trigger samples just straight up wax. Worth seeing live.

Damm, you saw him with no mpc! Hott ish, when i saw him he had 4 tables and a 2000xl. Dope as flock live I agree. His encore when i saw him was himself playing an acoustic guitar and singing. Way different but extremely refreshing- agood way to end his set. He played a song off since we last spoke.

hey WDJ - us aussie gotta stick together  adelaide has a pretty nice hop hop scene going, my freind who's a radio DJ reckons its becuase there is nothing else to do, and brisbane is kinda the same i suppose

its a pretty subtle element in the scheme of the track, but really noticable if you know timesteps (which is a pretty unreal track) or once your looking for it.
