so i just took a monoL sample but when i go to trim mode and play it back, i swear its stereo? is this supposed to be the case?

for example say i'm recording something off the boob tube? jus use one rca output on the mpc and it'll be stereo when i play back the sample?

wait i think i got it...
guy was simply talkin bout the record mode huh? using both inputs i.e. keepin the the left and right rca plug in has nothing to do wit it..
its all bout the record mode your in? aka even if you have them both plugged in if you choose under record mode monoL it would only record from the left side of things....
but when you play it in trim mode it would duplicate that LEFT side recordin to the right side, thus simulatin "stereo" sound and makin a newbie think its stereo?
right? did i get it right now?
main i'm all new to this....so what seems simple to yall is new and confusin to me...
i barely recordedmy 1st samples the other day still workin on how to loop em...on playback..
also got to grind fierce....
