Ok so I finally got a turntable (stanton T.80) and I started sampling into my MPC. this is how the connection works

Left and right output of my turntable into my phono ins on my receiver.

From my receiver I go record out's into my record ins on my MPC.

I'm getting a level on my MPC. Everything sounds great. Except the left's are alot louder then the rights. I made sure all the plugs are in all the way.

I also tried plugging m,y headphones into the receiver and th funny thing is. The left and right soun d pretty equal.

I'm starting to think it my 1/4 inch jacks going into my record ins because I've used the record ins when sampling out of a compact cd player.

Any suggestions?? Is everything hooked up alright?

I just read my post and realized I could trouble shoot the situation by switching the 1/4 cables going into my record in's. Now the rights are good but the lefts are way to quite. So it must be the cables.

Damn I love problem solving for myself.

And I appreciate all the help this forums has given me.

Sorry for wasting your time folks.

PEACE.

Sounds like you may need to replace your needle to me. When was the last time you had it changed? CHECK IT! (Ali-G style)

The tables brand new. The needle seems fine.
