When the mpc shows up on your pc just copy and paste the sequences your desired folder.

Oh I thought he was trying to save them as in "Archive" them. My bad.

You see the problem is that my CF card is full and I want to save the files to the hard drive for now. Im sure Im doing something wrong or just dumb as hell. Should I put these to disk. I just want to get all the info off the card and start fresh with new sounds Ive been finding.

yes you can store all sequences and songs on your computer to free up room on your card, then simply grab em back later on, thus "archiving" them.
i think people thought you were asking how to save your songs as audio onto the computer, which is a whole different box of cereal--thus why you can't play your songs simply by double clicking a .seq file.

then thats my problem, im trying to archive them and things are getting messed up. It wont transfer certain files that it cant read. Whats going on with this thing?!
Files that I saved on the CF are now giving weird messages in the track and type fields when i try to load them again on the mpc. Also the MIDI channells are all screwy as well. DANG I tried to select all that was on the card and move them to a new folder i create it wont transfer all i selected. Maybe three files and then a message saying it read a particular file or disk. Is this bad?
ALSO IM THINKING I NEED TO UPDATE THE os AND MAYBE THIS WILL FIX IT SINCE I NEVER DID SINCE I GOT THIS THING A YEAR AGO. Oops sorry for talking so loud. haa haa
