Whatever happend to people being able to speak their opinions and use criticism as a form of helping others not hurting them. If I criticize your music or what you're doing because I personally find it to be distasteful then why not stop and think about what it is i'm saying and why i'm saying it? I mean yes I can lash out from time to time and be a bit harsh but that is only because I try to help hiphop grow on a more positive note and bring the art back into it and the integrity, rather than speak of the lucrative end like our friend rockin' the black sassy size 13 boots. And DOC claims we talk shit behind computers but checkit dude....if we were on the same stage and you wanted to battle me directly in front of a crowd of 3000 of YOUR own fans i'd still have the heart to do so because you know what.....that's what this shit is all about! Building your skills....and being the best that you can be like anything else competitive or sportsman like. Hiphop is very much like a sport....don't you commercial rap cats refer to it as the GAME? It used to be just the drug dealers referrin' to hiphop as a game now it's the shiney suit wearin, diamond donnin' fake thug types. I found hiphop to be an outlet of music that provided a certain energy and attitude which helped me be more creative and really showed me that there is more music out there than i'd ever fathom. I don't believe any other musical genre allows for such a huge gamut of sound exposure. From my personal experience on this forum....I feel like everytime I try to share something iv'e created with you all I get a lot of good and bad feedback....the good I appreciate and the bad I listen to but then I think well what the fuk have they done to say that my shit is bad.....if it is justify your reasons for saying so. Give me examples - you all want constructive criticism but that's a BS excuse. Criticism is negative regardless because you're picking apart something someone else created and had faith in and devoted an immense amount of energy to. We're all critics. You can say what you want.....people that know me know that i'm extremely humble and the only time I speak on some really negative sh!t is when I see art being abused. I do art for arts sake and for a living and I know when and where to draw the line.....and that's peace. I'm done.

Ok I fully understand now!

So basically I need the following ingredients be modern, hip and accepted:

1. 808 drum sounds - preferably the 32nd note hi-hats, a triangle, replace snare with claps and cabasa for adding that latin feel (cus we know how much the ladies in the clubs love to shake a$$ to that sh!t)

2. 8th note drum patterns - no more than 2 kicks per measure....got it!

3. digital synth sounds - latin horn stabs, brass or string stabs and or goofy baby noises.

4. digital bass sounds - keep the bass as simplified as possible and make sure that it's very brief and non sustaining....we don't want the trunk to rattle too much right?

5. the corniest emcee with the grimiest voice or is that the quietest voice as I'm not sure these days emcees seem to rhyme so soft it sounds as if they're whispering....hmmmm - still can't figure that out?
