Yo I just purchased my USB cable for my mpc and i wanna know is there a certain place on the mpc where i can save the drum kits i have on my computer? Do i need to make a new folder in the mpc? And if i do have to make a new folder on the mpc where should i save it to? Or as? Thanks

Just make folders on your compact flash card. Use Blue Blox to make programs, do a search in the forum to find a link for it.

can you explain the concept of blue box? aka how and what is it for? make it gully for us newbies....

when you save your work on the mpc1k, you should be saving the samples, sequences, songs and programs... when loading saved work, the mpc1k loads the 'program' file(s) [.pgm] so when you hit the pad(s) the same sample(s) that you previously assigned to that pad is played... 'blue box' is a program that helps you create these 'program' files a lot easier... you can easily assign samples to pads on your computer, save the program file on your CF card, then load that program up in the 1k... i'm newbie myself so i may be missing some info, hopefully one of the vets can provide a better explanation or advise if i've missed something...
