One, I see your issue, but it's not as big a deal as you make it out to be. man, If I had to shut down every time I see some elitism on the forums I'd be busier than I already am on here. It's funny tho a lot of cats like to enforce the elitism and the "no one machine makes you better" when it's cats with older machines doing it. When cats with XL's dis all the other MPC's and say industry standard or whatever no one steps to them to say hey it doesn't matter what you use. There is a funny attitude towards 60 users here, that's why we band together a bit, because people love snapping on old stuff, even if they don;t understand it enough to appreciate it, so we swim against the current and it looks like we've changed the current, where a lot of people now admit there is something to the 60 even if they don;t understand it.

That's one of the reasons I stopped going by the 2000 and 1000 forums and helpin cats out over there, because the cats I was helpin were too busy strokin themselves about how great the gear they bought but don;t know how to use is to behave themselves and keep this place a good source of knowledge for everyone.

my question is where is this 'calling out' thread or whatever with MUSIC? i found the calling out one in the 'off topic' section and it directed me to the 'your music' section but i didn't find any one specific thread where the beat battles w/ audio go down.

any answers are greatly appreciated.

What you are saying is understandable, but if you want your 60/3000 forum to be what it once was you need to check the cats that frequent with this place...I'm not responsible for the 60 forum, I just said what I thought of it and a few of it's members. If you don't like it. Send PM's to all the 60/3000 members and tell them to lay off the BS antics cause it's really not needed, and the behaviour of a few peeps around here is where this all stems from. I don't run half cocked on these forums doing this stuff on the regular. Peeps around here should know that. This isn't the first time this issue has come to pass about this forum and some of it's members anyway.

This was far from a crusade. I had beef with one cat. Then another jumped in, then a few others, and I defended myself, and said what I had to say, and that's about it. I think you and a few others are making this a little bigger than what it is.

I think the only reason why cats in the 1000 forum go on about trying to prove why the machine is better cause they have too many cats trying to bash the 1000, and for no valid reasons at that. Like it's small and blue. The 60/3000 members ahve they're stuff to deal with about peeps not understanding about the older machines, well the 1k users have to deal with peeps that don't understand about the newer machine. Flip side of the same coin. Not to mention many of the 1k users are new to beatmaking, so maybe they feel they have something to prove, whereas most of ya'll have been down with your machines for quite awhile.

There's new breeds of beatmakers jumping off all the time. The 1k is the most accessible MPC nowadays. Once these new users have been rocking it for years and years I think their attitudes will change.

anyhow, the most accesible MPC IMO is the 2000 OG, cuz it's the cheapest, but the 1000 is in most music stores and is cheaper than the XL and 4k, so I can see what you mean about it being accessible. but yeah, a lot of cats just vent that they don;t have a 1000 and need an excuse to say why they don;t want it. there are things I don;t like about it, but I still think it's a cool product. But this is not the place to take up that battle,

Point is, the 60 and 3000 cats have a vested interest in this forum, it's a place they can get information, help when things break down, and sometimes get some useable info. For you, it doesn't matter if this place gets flled with fights and other bullshyt because you don;t need people who know the 60 or 3000 well, so you **** it up because it doesn;t affect you, but for me, I want other cats that know the 60 well to come in here and share knowledge and teach me something too, and if this is how they are greeted, that ain;t gonna happen. the 60 owners 9Drumatic Included) don;t fill this forum with bullshyt, he posts beats and it's all out from people who could care less if this forum exists or not.

So just take a pass on this forum, or just read and stop throwing your 2 cents around if it isn;t gonna help the website, because it isn;t about any one member, it's about being a place for knowledge to collect.
