RKSOCOM wrote:drum i didnt mean to get u alll turn on... slow down... slllowww down... i use to be like that back in the day also.. i grew up on the kool g rap... juice crews.... pe's.... i use to love hiphop... i mean i thought that **** would last forever....then when rza and havoc ..primo them cats i thought would be doing it forever...but they didnt change with the times.... then the puffys and neptunes happened to hiphop.....im 33 years old ive been here from the start... ive been through every era of hiphop.. im not some 18 year old cat that just started to listen to hiphop when biggie dropped juicy... (no disrespect young dudes) i respect everyone styles of music i dont really care what cats think is hot....all i was saying is your music sounds dated... and how could you be upset with that if its a early 90's style???? no disrespect dude do you rep your style.....and yes in ny buckshot is considered backpack hiphop....he is doing what he wants to do...but he sure aint going to eat doing that type of music..... but whateva.. gooodd luck to alll...

fam, there's NO reasoning with this dude or his friends (you will quickly know who they are). I myself am over 30 and this dude thinks I sold out for the paper, hahaha. When in reality I was making "Tribe Called Quest" type beats when it was 1991, using the same equipment he has NOW. I just hate when cats turn this music into a religous thing when it's foundation was built for a different crowd altogether... and thanks for the listen, I don't get on here much so if I missed anybody else, thanks!

Honestly, how can you say dude won;t eat?

If you have a crystal ball and know the tastes of the public so well, you should be eating caviar and lobster every night. Man, no one can predict shyt. Ask major artists and many of them will tel you that the track that was their biggest hit they didn;t even like much and didn;t think it would go anywhere.

Like I said, everyone was doggin the 808 as played out and useless now, for over a decade, then the dirty south sound happened and it's still here, growing, for better or worse, and all those cats are making other predictions and talking about how this is played and that sounds old and it won;t make any money, well, that's all guessing, and they've been wrong more than they've been right.

Can't people just enjoy music, and listen to the production? it's like if someone posted an amazing house track yall would be like "wow that's ill but you'll ever get that on the radio and make mad bling" Quality is quality, there are cats who have givin good criticism to Drumatic, saying something about muting a vocal sample in certain parts, or this or that, and drum comes back humbnle explainin why he did it like that. Talking about style will get you no where, talking about song structure, and how to keep it interesting will, and Drum is no hot head yall, but if you come at him sideways with some weird e-grudge, he'll go postal on you cuz you deserve it. Not sayin you do RKSOCOM, just that saying dated is a way of dismissing something. 90% of cats here can't hang with Drumatic's production skills. judging it on style like many do ignores his skills and basically is sayin that anyone using triton or motif presets and generic drum samples is somehow better from the gate. I thought it was about the person, not the gear like yall keep yellin at drumatic for??

Bunch of hypocrites.

Honestly YOU most NOT get out to often living in NYC??? Because I've heard MANY cats in NY that still rock that era's style and they sound a bit more professional than your man's (Drumatic or Lo Filther) sh!t. I'm sorry that me and some other people aren't into his technics, who cares about technics anyways??? Make bangin music period!! Some people like it some people don't, but don't dismiss the people that don't for having a grudge. No one on this forum is putting people on. And the internet makes up a minor fraction of the reality we live in, so if your getting props online and getting dissed where you live, check yourself is all I'm sayin' and Drumatic got dissed by Stef from Beat Society (not concerning for ANYMORE shows)and Soulspazm (Superstition) and the sad thing about it is that I tried to push for your entry Drumatic being that I know the owners of Soulspazm, I didn't necessary like your track like that but I thought you were more humble then what I really know now... but good luck selling your CD's and clothing line!!!

yeah but them cats ain;t talkin shyt now are they? Point is, people who are tearin him down don;t show hotter shyt, nor do they have people that consistantly say dope shyt, keep it comin.

Drumatic is ill on the cuts too.

You've seen it before doc, you've had to if you're over 30, cats' just hating on the style but homie does his style way better than the other cats do their "modern" style.

having a grudge means you have other reasons, that your dislike of the person motivates your comments, not what the comments themselves are saying. lets not fight just to fight, you know that's old. If its actual criticism of the structure or content then bring it on. is the bridge too long? the hook doesn't grab you enough? It's missing a sped up sould vocal :D ? say that. Don;t say it will never do this or that sound is old because it says nothing, it's just an insult. just say you don;t like him, and that you're looking for new ideas in the hip hop you listen too.

This comment:

don't, but don't dismiss the people that don't for having a grudge. No one on this forum is putting people on. And the internet makes up a minor fraction of the reality we live in, so if your getting props online and getting dissed where you live, check yourself is all I'm sayin'

hahaha, Elm you know your ok with me  BUT we'll see later on when the cats in question get home from work if they respond or not...

But thats YOUR opinion Elm!! Not everyone sees the same things. The same way they diss Just Blaze (who by the way I think would kill your boy beat making wise), Pete Rock, Primo and others is blastfamy!!! How do you diss people that REALLY contribute to the music??? Even if it's NOT your style so what!! It must be some ones style for their names to be typed on peoples computers. And I respect JB, I'll be in NYC this weekend for Rock Steady but also for the Producer Conference where Blaze will be getting an award for his contribution to the music.

Yeah Elm, but the way your boy talks he shouldn't have to TRY to get into anything, because he's already on top... There will be a Beat Society in NYC in September I will be in, I'll keep anyone posted. I plan on bring alot of my old stuff back for my set, you can hear alot stuff then.

Doc - You need to stop talking about sh*t you don't know about son. Stef didn't say a mother fu*king thing to me or Drumat!c (so if she did say something, it was in confidentiality to you). Supa and the cat that runs the SoulSpazam website spoke out. And thats cause I put it out there that my man got robbed on the beat battle. He clearly out skilled everyone who posted. I think the cat who won had a dope beat, and lets say for the sake of argument, it was better then my mans, irregardless, Drum didn't even place in the top (3). Thats a straight up travesty and you know it!

My question is, if he's banned... Why they still got his sh*t up on the Beat Society website saying he FAM? And how come when he called (2) B.S. members out on a friendly battle with props at stake, both declined!? Cause' they too busy "making moves"? Please..

Dawg you do more talking for this dude then he does.. I'm beginning to think your the SAME person (I hope not because that is corny). And I see because YOU think your boys track was the best one submitted you cry foul??? Oh you's a BIT@H!!!!!! And yes, I won't battle for real unless you or your man can put your MONEY where your mouths are either. Let's say $5000, 5 beats each, we use the same sample for 3, play original piece and the last one a acapella remix. We both live in Philly I'll make it possible at the Gathering if you really need to get it!!! HOLLA!!!

"Dawg you do more talking for this dude then he does.. I'm beginning to think your the SAME person (I hope not because that is corny)."

Word up, thats my man, im'a speak out on his behalf when cats is kickin' bullsh*t. Irregardless, I decided to speak out on this subject because it pertains to me. Just goes to show how much YOU DON'T KNOW. The whole reason Supa and Excel (or whatever that kid goes by) spoke out is because I posted up on UGHH where the B.S. family resides saying my man got robbed, and because Dramat!c was saying one of they're "fam" stole his drums (which is fact). Which leads us to you over here misquoting sh*t, stating things as fact that were never said to ether myself, or Drumat!c, and talking about the situation, when you don't got a clue on what actually took place.

"If you didn't know before then you know now".

" We both live in Philly I'll make it possible at the Gathering if you really need to get it!!! HOLLA!!!"

Yea that would be real fair, all your hypemen and your people judging. Get outa here with that sh*t. Ain't no one puttin' money up on a battle because you can't be sure who's on who's team in respects to the crowd and judges. Not to mention my man is gonna catch a strike off the bat for being Italian (Especially in Philly).

I thought hiphop wasn't about color??? Corny ass muthafuka...

PS - And the last time I checked your boy doesn't PLAY drums, so they didn't STEAL anything. Your boy gripped something off vinyl (which some say is stealing) so who stole what??? U can't cry about sounds when you didn't create them...
