I went through a period of "everything must be perfect". It took two years to complete one CD. Not complaining because it made money but I almost went crazy. Going through vocal tracks and taking out every breath, crap like that. Then something snapped and I spent more time making music instead of editing it. As a result, I've produced 2 CD's in the past 12 months and they're good. Perhaps a bit more organic and certianly with more of a human feel...Bottom line - Music is supposed to have feel...too much stuff these days is completely sterile. Besides, If people are dogging your music because you made a hit and it's not produced to thier standards - So What? You're getting paid to play - They get nothing to **** - and if you want to get laid, you gotta get paid
