I don't hate on any boy cause they are in it to maintain their lives just like everyone else. They are on the grind just like everyone else.
As far as 50's lyrics go, he aint saying nothing that no one else hasn't said if you really listen to the words on most of his songs. His delivery is good most of the time. He definitely got the voice for it and the industry connects to go along with it. Me personally I have never bumped 50 in my ride cause it's not my definition of hiphop. It might be to some and that's cool but it's just not for me. I only like maybe 2 of his tracks and I really wish they were just instrumental but that's just me. If someone can make a mark in the music world at what they love AND get loot for it at the same time then then sure why not. The question and debate on "what is real and what is not" is not for me to sit and speculate/elaborate on cause we all got our own views. No need for me to argue over it at all. If I make it producing though then you will definitely see my side of the story and everyone in the forums can say they knew of LAMPDOG when he was a scrub. Who am I kidding, even if I make it I will retain my street scrubbiness.

Now he's 2 rich to be like he was ("mobsters dont box...-nas") but I could gurantee you he still got those animal instincts ("you could take a n*gga out the hood but you cant take the hood out a n*gga").

I know you heard about him givin it to ja-rule(wit the hands) and walking away with his jewelry (ended up getting shot over that), now thats gangsta (though on another occasion ja-rules man blackchild stabbed him and CLAIMED that 50 had a gun, pulled out and did not bust it).

I aint mad I just misunderstood the purpose of the thread - in general. From my understanding (as of now) this thread was mainly a "which records would you buy (to sample from) without listening first". At first I thought it was a "to listen to" thread, as in, buying for enjoyment purposes not for sampling. I would never sample from "new" records, I dig for stuff people (in general) would not dig for, thus my own sound is created. But you still disrespected my music taste, but whatever. I got over it.

By the way I wanna know about some underground sh*t cause where i'm from n*ggas dont rock to that but f*ck em'. I'm mad down to earth when it comes to music and I take pride in being an individual thats mainly why I named the people I named cause I aint see anybody else naming them. But basically if you aint got a grudge against me I would like to get "put on" to some of the sh*t you consider to be "hot".

if it's by The Beatnuts, DJ Premier, Alchemist, Showbiz, Diamond, Lord Finesse, Buckwild, DJ Muggs, Ayatollah, El-P, RJD2, Madlib, Jay Dee, Kut
Masta Kurt, Da Beatminerz, J-Zone, Necro, RZA, Marley Marl, Pete Rock, Oh-No, E-Swift, etc. I buy stuff by the Neptunes, Timbaland, Dr. Dre, etc... it depends on my mood. Then I look at who's on the album guest appearance wise... and check for the artists I like. I'm not gonna list them cause it takes forever. Any DJ Shadow is a must also.

For me it's really only Madlib and MF Doom. I've been unhappy with a lot of recent hip-hop lately and these two guys are always a hit for me.

On the 50 cent subject, I honestly don't care about how much of a gangsta the guy may or may not be, the problem I have with it is that his big push is nothing but MTV and right now MTV tells the mainstream media what's hot, so regardless of whatever his music really is, he is the hotness by default. You got jacks coming up and saying shit like "He has the nicest flow ever!" when they weren't saying that shit all those years his old albums were out, he sounds no different now. His shit is platinum or whatever because of all the 14 year old girls who watch MTV. Besides, I don't understand how anyone can take his thugginess seriously when he's up on the cover of those teen heat mags with his shirt off.
