Really the MPC IS just a computer designed for a specific purpose.
It runs an an O/S, has bugs, and crashes just like a computer.
No?

Same reason certain guitarists still use ancient les pauls that need constant repair. It inspires them to create.

I only use the computer once Im done on the MPC. Pro Tools is the 16 track Ive always wanted.

Now could I sit there and play with pre made loops on it, and create from scratch...**** no....i like all the imperfections in sound that come from having all those wires and shit all over the place, getting feedback when overdubbing, twisting different knobs on my mixer to totally **** the sound, shit like that, it makes the whole process seem more real than sitting in front of a laptop with a copy of cubase and some soft synths.
