how do u get ur sample to sound like its going from left to right.

I think its possible in the mpc but maybe not.

You have to sample it while you are panning it on whatever you recorded the sample from (mixer, most likely). Or just use some sample editor like Cool Edit. C.E.Pro has some tight steroe pans preprogrammed, I'm sure other programs do too, but I don't know personally about them

in the mpc1k you can use the tremolo effect. it will give it a right to left and left to right back and forth. you just gotta fool around with it to get it right and then resample it. also i like to use my sp-303 to do it it seems more fun to play with the knobs.

Go into "Mixer" mode. You'll find panning options there (on the 1k at least). If you want a "progressive" pan that moves as the song progresses then (again, on the 1k) use flying pan or sequence a number of identical samples set to different pans.

i dont wanna hate or anything but stop giving tips for tha mpc 1k if u been reading and paying attention on my profile u would know that i have a 2k so please give me some answers on the 2k or just say u dont know.

Well, if all you have is what is in your profile, then I'm sure you are running your turntables through a mixer. You could manually pan your sample as you are recording it. Or, provided that you do access this forum on your computer, you could get programs like recycle or sound forge, sample the sound into your MPC as usual, put it on disk, stick disk in computer drive, edit sample on your comp, then fly it back to your MPC.

If you have the eb16 you can use "autopan", in the MOD
module of the effects chain.

why not chop the sample up and pan the chops in the mpc's mixer. thats dopesh!t right there. you can even 16 level it on velocity. it might be a lil work though
