i think yer talking about having beat '1' not lined up on beat one...
sure you can do that but it just leads to headaches in the long run...
of course it happens acidentally sometimes where you think yer making a beat one way and you start to hear it with a different 'start' point, right?
it's always nice when the machine or sw has some option to rotate the beat data around when that happens... you can probably do that on mpc in edit mode, carefully.
anyway its def. much better to get the real beat one on beat one.
