Just copped an MPC and need some help

Anyone out there have a good recommendation on where I could get some good drums samples to load up on my MPC 1K...I just copped mine yesterday and I have already out grown the preloaded samples (previously have used an 2000xl)

So any recommendations would be greatly appreciated....

well man that's half of what producing is all about... esp. for hiphop i think.

just do like eminem did in that scratch interview- get drdre to give you a bunch of drum samples for free. just kidding.

i mainly use hard/soft drum machines myself, and sample those, but i think what most people do is:

-sample drum breaks and hits off vinyl, that's the classic, and gives tha dope sound
-google around for 'free samples'
-pay for sample cd's
-record your friend playing real drums
-ask people on forums, oops thats me and im not being very useful here

ok, somewhere on akai site is this 'kit of the month' archive thing with classic drum machine sounds, those can be useful though everyone's got em now.

To get started, you could visit www.akaipro.com and download "Drumkit of the month" and "Drumkit archive" (I think you have to go to MPC 1000, and there you will find it). MY first post btw
