I was thinking about starting to market my beats cause I am getting better. I'm not great but good. Either way I think its time for people to start knowing my name and that I make beats. I am gonna try to get some artist to do there thang over my beats so I can use them on my production demo. Is this a good idea? I it would be like a two way deal. I use there voice to cover my beats. (you can't steal a beats when someone's already rapping over it) :D But also they can use the song on one of there demos or whatever. I figure whoever hears the beats won't be able to buy the ones that are on the cd cause someone is already on them and using them. But if they think I'm good they should call. Right? :?

Maybe, but remember, you have to be very driven to become recognized. I have owned a couple of small businesses, and it takes great effort and attention to detail to be successful. Make sure your stuff is dope, because first impressions are important. Be patient and do what you do for the love, not the fame and money. Then when you are at your full potential focus on the business side.
Peace.
