Buying-a-CF-card dilemma

I already have a 128 MB CF card. Should I bother to buy a 512 mb card, or is 128 mb enough? Or should I smack right on, and buy a 1-2 gb card? What do you guys think is minimum for a CF card with use with a MPC 1000?

i bought a 1gig and that got me by for a while. i just ordered a 2gig yesterday. i've got over a gig of just breaks so ima put those on the 2gig card along with some of my vinyl samples and that'll clear up my 1gig card for projects and whatever else.

only you can make that call. i've known ppl to only have 1 card but i have several. and of different sizes. it all depends on how you want to organize your sh1t

I got a 2 gig and of course the 32 mb that comes with the 1k. It's more than enough for me. WIth all my kits and breaks and sounds, I would need at least 4 or 5 2 gig cards to fit it all on, but I got a PC with 80 gig usb drive where I put all my stuff on. I just transfer what I need.

It really depends on your own usage. If you need 10 2 gig cards by all means go ahead and do so. If you only need the 32 mb card supplied that's cool too. Whatever floats your boat.

If you have a computer, then it doesn't really matter - just get a card that can hold enough 'workable' data (128mb is good). You can then transfer data back and forth from your computer to the card and use your computer for permanent storage.
