Yeah but can you picture R kelly using song mode?

pro's are really stupid man, like you wouldn't believe how dumb these cats are. The smart ones you can pic out, but there are very few.

Bing, I understand you man, but get a keyboard and you're all set. 61 right infront of you, plus the pads too. with 2 mpc's you still only have 32 live infront of you at a time, I still think there are few good reasons to use two MPC's, but hell you don;t need a good reason to do it, I think the MPC is so easy to use that people get tricked into thinking they can rock gear but then they try a rack or something and have to use midi and get all confused (not you Bing, you know you can rock it) so they just get another MPC.

Dre's useage is weird, just kind of a sick luxury, but you know he only drops by for a few hours does his thing then bounces, so having 5 MPC's at the ready so he doesn't have to wait on zips probably makes his life easier, but it's still geigh to have the fifth one just for keyboards, he could do the same thing if he had his midi set up right with one 3000 and a rack sampler at the ready wth all his samples, it's just obvious that it's an ignorant way to use MPC's. If they only had 16 tracks and one midi output I could see it, but they are so good because they don;t have those kind of constraints.

Does anybody feel me on this?

No offense el, for real, you're one of the few cats on this forum that I actualy got respect for but...

When I say someone has a fat ride (I guess I haven't really said that in a minute :? ) I don't spell it with a "p-h", but I also don't mean his ride is overweight. When someone's being gay in the stupid sense, it makes much more sense to spell it "g-a-y" then it does to call a homosexual gay, 'cause not all homosexuals are "very happy". I guess what I'm sayin is calling homosexuals gay is technically slang, therefor gramatically incorrect. So to call someone who's being obnoxious gay is also slang, and also already gramatically incorrect, so it is a waste of time tryin to gramatically seperate the two, when they, technically speaking, have no place in the word of grammar.

Besides, using wierd phonetic combonations wasn't even cool in third grade when we learned to spell fish "Ghoti" (gh from enough, o from women and ti from nation)

PS Did I just set a record for the use of the word grammar in a single post?

yeah, I just like it, it's gayer than gay cuz it's got more letters ;)

I never learned to spell fish like that. Anyhow, I wasn't makin abig deal about it.

:?:
like half of his songs have bridges and some key-changes, so i dont see why not...

About Dre's usage, maybe he prefers the 3000's "sound" to the rack sampler?

peezie wrote:what kinda samples are you talking about? drum breaks or melodic type. just curious cause alotta samples lose the 'magic' when theyre overchopped...

binger0 wrote:el el el. now what happens when i chop a break into 16th notes and i got 64 pads to use to play back 2 bars, two mpcs OR a MPD16 would be great so u dont lose that element of playing it live. PE used to use 2 or 3 sp1200's rigged together, shadow used 2 mpcs to do what i just described above. Its a good investment if you got room and dumb money to spend.

im talking bout both. it doesnt matter. its all bout the programming with the mpc and step edit. theres shortcuts that make life alot easier sequncer wise with the mpc.
