HELP- need to recover "damaged" beats on zip from mpc2000 $$

i neeed someone to recover the lost data (beats, probably wav files, four of them, saved on mpc2000, which now reads them as "damaged") on this zip disk.

do you know of any data recovery software for this type of problem (i've seen regular zip recovery software, but not for a zip disk that stores files from mpc2000)?

or do you know of some place i can send the disk to have the beats recovered? happy to blow money on this if it gets the beats back.

i dont know in which way you files are damaged but when that happened
to me i copyed the files to my computer and put them on a new floppy and then the mpc accepted the files... so there's a chance it's just the floppy thats damaged

If a floppy disk is damaged then it will still be damaged no matter what "floppy drive" it is placed in. Same thing for a zip. If a floppy drive is damaged, then it will not read disks correctly, whether they are new or not. I am afraid I do not understand your post. Something I missed?

see, thats why i check this site daily, all the greatest are on here that deal wit MPC's

i have seen mpc3000 around for a while, and didnt know who was the guy from www.mpc2000xl.com.... this is a great site

When i put the floppy in the mpc it said the the files were damaged but for some reason i could open the files in my computer and when i saved the files on a new floppy it worked...

Akai's S-series samples can be connected to your computer and you can transfer samples directly to the sampler's memory over SCSI. Really fast and convenient. Even though the MPC uses identical hardware as the S-series samplers, the same is not possible.
