'MPC2500'. Its' a stupid rumour that seems to come up on these forums every other day for the past 3 years - it's made up, not true, just an 'e-rumour'.

Actually the MPC4000 is the Z4 with a sequencer and pads. There is little about the MPC4000 that resembles an MPC2000XL, much less an MPC2000XL with "bells and whistles".

It's possible that the "rumors" have been floating for 3 years since it takes usually takes 3-4 years to design one.

I was referring to the fact that the 4000 is the MPC that everyone always moaned they wanted - an MPC with a fully-fledged sampler and all the bell & whistles. While the mythical 2500 is the er, MPC that everyone always wanted....go figure that.

Someone once posted that vinyl will not be manufacutred anymore after the year 2009. I personally think this is a stupid rumour started by someone in the CD turntable industry in order to get people to give up their turntables and buy CD turntables.
