Event TR5's are really nice, actually the whole Event line up. If you want monitor's/ computer speakers go M-AUdio Dx4.

I heard a lot of good things about the M-Audio BX5's though, but they are the same price as the Event Tr5's and the Events are a much better speaker. Go to Sam Ash or something and take some CD's with you, and test some boxes out.

Personnally, I heard the Samson's, M-Audio, Events, Behringer, ESI Near 05, Alesis. I liked the Events out of all of them.

I got the DX4 m-audios for my pc and they are good for that. They aren't that great for serious monitoring, but they are good for mixing on at low levels. I'm thinking of getting some TR8's though if I can get some financing. I'm looking at some financing right now. If I get it I may cop a 2xl and a pair of TR8's and call it a wrap with my set up.

I got a pair of M-Audio BX5's and they sound awesome. I'm gonna add a sub to the mix when it finally ships from zzsounds.com, but the M-Audio's cover the bass pretty well for being so cheap. It's a very safe choice.

Those I have not yet heard. They don't have em in any shops here. I read some reviews on those. How is the accuracy? My knowledge about them is that they do sound very good, but the sound is coloured, therefore not so accurate or transparent.

This might be a stupid question, but what is the difference between the Event TR5's, 6's and 8's (soundwise)?

They all got about the same wattage. This isn't really typical in monitors of different woofer size. The numbers 5,6,8 basically tell you how big the woofer is in inches. The bigger the woofer, the bigger the bass response and over all imaging space.
