If your trying to use Ken, I hope you got the MONEY???? He cost between 5k - 20k depending on the music you want redone.

no i needed the article for an assignment! fuk that im not payin 10 gz , if i couldnt clear the sample id save ma dough and keep diggin for the next sample........

The beats that just blaze has him replay are beats that he's already sold that couldn't be cleared so why not give up 10 g's and make back 60 or 70 plus publishing. I don' think just blaze just goes to every record that could possibly be replayed and has ken lewis replay them only the ones that he's already sold that couldn't get the sample cleared.

...but seriously Scott Storch and them cats down south are makin' big cheese off pretty simple tracks. I know samples got a sound that everyone digs, but this is over doin' it. That Ken Lewis got a good hustle goin'. I'd rather find some good session players and create my own magic.

I see the value of this and all, but it's just another crutch IMO, at least Dre and some other cats orchestrate their own replays instead of passing the job off. What am I supposed to credit producers for these days?? I'm a little disappointed and unimpressed to be honest.

no obviously if i was a big ti me player i would make the investment but im talkin about me personally!
that dudes got crazy skill though and a beat maker is very different to a 'producer', just blaze being the beat maker and ken lewis being the producer in a sense....

To be a producer, you actually do not even have to touch an instrument, Quincy Jones, Joesph Jackson..... sometimes producing is just making sure the band does not go over budget.

i cnat hate on him, hes good at what he does

producers were originally were repsonible for getting the talent together. he/she got the right studio musicianswith the right engineers. producers of today wear a lot of different hats.
