can you expand on that a little. how do you change the bpm so it helps your drums? sounds like a nice trick..

Since you're only sampling, it would be cool if you took as many parts from one song as possible. It builds your pallette of sounds, which will promote you to create more sequences, before flipping through another record. If you don't hear any loops at first, start listening for open notes - those are always there. Catching a lot of short samples is an easy way to end up big... in my opinion.
